Day 48
Happy World Virginity Day!
#365daypoetryforadvocacyandsocialchangechallenge
Dear Daughter,
I see you
Standing with the stars
Hands raised in beckon for a dance
Beneath the covering of the moon
Not the time...
The wind blows your prayers
Wishes and hums tug at my name
Distant scream of hurts from mannequins bearing false apparel
Not the time...
For thy heart is swift to powerful emotions
Lead thy finger tips on the knees of purity, mercy, humour and justice
For on that love's feet can stamp
Not the time...
For the heart had learnt to survive on tiny atoms of care
But when thy heareth my steps
My free and encompassing presence
Listen to the waves for the tale of love's pureness
Slapping against past damage
Not the time...
No High key
No reddish entry
No scent of rare almond
Just me and you
Rain and stars
And our feet on the wet
Downy grass earthing
The electricity of freedom
For the time is ripe
The time!
Love!
(Songs of Solomon 8, inspired)
