Day 54
#365daypoetryforadvocacyandsocialchangechallenge
Come together,
Let's gather around this coven of misery
Let's mourn this haven of tears
This crazy society
Plastered with phases of electrifying droughts
Asthmatic power supply
Epileptic dreams
Where the flag of ethnicity still flutters
And the people are governed by religious foxes
Come together,
Let's wash in this pool of tears
Let's sniffle in each other's arms
And share consoling whispers
Let's burn down these readymade smiles
Let's sip from these wells of love
Let's mingle our bodies
And bask in never-ending laughter
Let's stay, unapologetically genuine
And share this sincere laughter
Connecting these broken bodies
For then,
Will we heal.
