Day20
#365daypoetryforadvocacyandsocialchangechallenge
It all started here
On this platform of
Listening to tattletales
Of your sweet breath
Captured in emotions
Of your expressions
Living my life
Dancing to your tune
And breaking pauses to the musical line
With Eyes melting to your touch
Channeled to keep me safe
On life's caressing chest
It's rhythmic beat
Dhib! dhib! dhib!
Playing through my head
Like a pendulum
Incited more passion and pleasure
Hell bent on keeping still
Unlikely to arouse the husky voice
That began at the beginning
I watch it all fade away
I'm on that road
To solitude
To break free
From cords that can't bind
To let go
Of pains that may not heal
To try…
To live again
