Day 9
#365dayPoetryforadvocacyandsocialchangechallenge
your teethed tongues leak our sugared heart,
Our secret turquoise emeralds swell your empire's fame
Our heads, a ladder's rungs of your climb,
Your nurtured hand feeds our hungry mouth,
The relics of your several rapes
Of our virgin wealth and health,
And you post first in our pedigree.
Hear oh hear thou predator,
From nature borrow some wit,
The prey goes extinct in continuous gaming
And the predator's famed pretence is laid at bare
E. E. Ene, teach Poetry and African American Literature at the University of Calabar, Calabar.
He is Poet, who spends most of time, coaching students on leadership and today matter's.
